Twilight

I finally watched it. To be fair it lived up to my expectations: poor.

The acting was mediocre to say the least and the characters were two dimensional. Well atleast the main two were, the other characters barely had one dimension to split between them. I don't know about anyone else but in school I was taught a story was meant to have a beginning, a middle and an ending; an introduction, some kind of complication or conflict and then a resolution. I guess Ms Meyers not only decided to throw out the traditional vampire and replace it with a mix of sparkle dust and kisses, but also replaced the textbook story outline with her own ~*uneek*~ twist: no excitement whatsoever! And just like the idea of twinkly demons, it failed miserably.
I've got to be honest, I found it hard to just walk out and stop watching because I was sure something good or interesting was going to happen at some point. But no. The longer you watch, the more you need the satisfaction of some really fucking good to happen. Never does. Nope. It was like having awkward, boring sex that lasts far too long without a climax. There may have been the tiniest bit of foreplay but it didn't amount to anything, like awkward teenage fumblings without the slightest clue of what you're doing, the introduction was just as drawn out, dull and lacking in satisfaction as the rest of it.
Can't really say it was a disappointment because going by the 'you can't polish a turd' assumption, the book was bollocks so how was the movie supposed to be any better?

Amanda fucking Palmer

Wooo I have Amanda Palmer tickets :D :D :D I'm so damn excited, she's my role model <3 Rammstein are also touring 2009/10 but they haven't put up their 2010 UK dates so I can't book tickets yet D: I NEED TO SEE THEM! So fucking epic! Seeing Green Day in November with Warren and one of his friends. Not a band that I would normally pay to see but I'm not giving up them tickets, and I'm sure they'll put on a good show. Also might be seeing The King Blues again, they were cute :3

I'm looking forward to Reading festival more than I was before as well. Rise Against and 65 Days of Static will make it worth it. Also woohoo for Silent Discoing, hope it's as good as Sonisphere's Silent Disco. It will probably be busier and go on for longer but I'm guessing I won't enjoy the music so much :(

Now for a meme I stole off :iconstripeydani:

1- Post the rules.
2- Each tagged person must tell 8 things about themselves.
3- At the end you must tag 8 people and put their icon in your journal.
4- Then go to their page and leave a comment saying you tagged them.
5- No tag backs.

1) Right now I am not happy with who I am

2) I'm obsessed with manly men but wonder if it is just a phase

3) I still have practically no confidence and doubt there is anyway I can gain some

4) I'm happiest when I've got my headphones on and am listening to some awesome toonz

5) I think I'm slightly evil and I don't like it but can't talk about it incase other people think I'm evil

6) I sometimes view sex as a performance or art O_o

7) I dress up for cosplay/everyday/sexytimes to pretend to be someone I'm not because there are some things I can't do without the confidence that comes from not being me

8) I procrastinate like woah

Can't be arsed with tagging (see number 8) so just steal away

Ha ha ha ha ha ha my mum just showed me one of our 'family heirlooms'... my Grandad's lederhosen roflmao

Sonisphere: Part II

Sonisphere was wicked. Got there on Friday and set up camp, they had some fairground rides set up, including dodgems! I have no idea how many dodgem rides we went on but I'm sure it was over 20. There was also this fucking scary ride that I tried out. It was terrifying!! After checking out the grounds on Friday we went to the Silent Disco. At first I didn't want to go because I can't dance for shit but it's free after the £10 deposit and we got into the crowd to start dancing about. I didn't like it in the crowd, we were next to some girl who was grinding on her boyfriend, it was really nasty so we found an empty space and did our kind of dancing (and singing). Singing at a Silent Disco is jokes, I'm sure the guards who stand at the exits who hear everything have a great time lol. Our form of dancing isn't so much dancing as jumping around like loons.

On to Saturday. I saw Soil and Skindred to begin with. Heard a bit of Alien Ant Farm but wasn't very impressed. Soil was cool, Skindred I hadn't really heard before but I really enjoyed. Must look them up... Went back to camp to rest up (I was aching from the Silent Disco and Dodgems) and then back to the Arena to look around some more. It started raining sometime in the late afternoon/evening >_< So we bought ponchos!! Aaron, Jed and I were sitting in the middle of the field (everyone else had the sense to leave) in ponchos. We also had our food with us under the ponchos, eating was hard. Eventually we got bored and wondered around some more. I bought a bikini because I was worried my top would get ripped off so decided to wear a bikini top underneath it. Then Aaron went off to see Rolo Tomassi and Jed and I went off to Linkin Park (soon lost each other in the crowd lol). Got completely crushed at the front, no point in being there at all and I couldn't get out, started having a panic attack but Danny helped me get out to place where you can dance around and actually enjoy the music without suffocating. I thought they were awesome, despite the whole Dead By Sunrise fiasco. It was cheeky of him to use LP's set to introduce Chester's new band but I thought they were alright. Did some more Silent Discoing that night as well, though unlike the 3+ hours we had on Friday, this was like 3 songs (the queues were ridiculous).

Sunday!! Epicness! Saw Saxon, and Lamb of God, not in the crowd but sitting/lying down. Thought I'd give Machinehead a chance despite the fact that the lead singer through a fucking hissy fit. They bored me, but I think it was more to do with aching/tiredness/thinking the lead singer was a prick, so I went back to camp and chilled out for a bit. Went to meet Aaron later to see a band called The Defiled. Hadn't heard of them before but I thought they were awesome. Really liked their look and sound and looked them up when I got home. I'm going to see them again next year because they're playing at Chaos in Guernsey :) After that we went to see NiN. I thought their set was really emotional and sad although others found it boring. Then we went to the next stage to see Avenged Sevenfold. That was fucking epic. Managed to get right to the front and it wasn't as crushing as Linkin Park in the slightest. Got in some mosh and circle pits and crowdsurfed out. Hadn't crowdsurfed before but it was so much fun :D Didn't bother with Metallica, figured it was the same set they played at Reading, which was fun enough but wanted to rest up before Silent Discoing again. By the end of that day I was achey all over D:

Monday was packing up time. I woke up early and got everything packed but the crowds for leaving were ridiculous. We chilled until about midday (Jed didn't like standing around doing nothing so he started packing up random tents lol. Got the shuttle bus to the station and I said goodbye to the Guernsiers :( Aaron nearly left with my tent lol!! Luckily my friend Holly/Bruce had to go to Kings Cross like me so I wasn't on my own just yet! Going on the underground was not so nice D: but getting home felt soooo good. Had a long bath then fell asleep.

FUCK YES :D Can't wait to see Linkin Park. Heres to hoping I don't get crushed to death!!!!!!!

Anyway I stole this from Dani.

1. Name (a) film(s) that you have seen more than 10 times (cinema + home).
Breakfast club, Zoolander (EPICNESS), Mystery Men, Donnie Darko, Saw probably lol

2. Name a film that you’ve seen multiple times in the cinema.
Watchmen

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a film.

Johnny Depp, Judi Dench XD

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a film.
Agreeing with Dani about Daniel Craig and Daniel Radcliffe. Errrrm, that one with the square face... Jennifer Garner. CAMERON DIAZ!!! Ugh she annoys me so damn much

5. Name a film that you can and do quote from.
Could you describe the ruckus? :p

6. Name a film musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs.
Phantom of the Opera, Mulan, Lion King

7. Name a film that you have been known to sing along with.
Any Land Before Time and Disney. Anastasia, Thumbalina, Swan Princess... Phantom of the Opera, Labyrinth

8. Name a film that you would recommend everyone see.
Das Parfum, Watchmen, American History X (For the awesomeness) Zoolander, Mystery Men (BEST Ben Stiller movies... I know, right? Americans can OCCASIONALY do good comedy!!!), PS I Love You (For a good cry), Evil Dead (For the lulz)

9. Name a film that you own.
Jennifer (It's poor)

11. Have you ever seen a film in a drive-in? If so, what?
I don't think we have that option in England

14. Ever walked out of a film?
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GOING TO THE CINEMA COSTS??!?!!?

15. Name a film that made you cry in the cinema.
LOTR: FOTR. I don't cry much at cinemas, at home though PS I Love You, I didn't STOP crying.

16. Popcorn?
Ew no. < What Dani said. Especially salted popcorn, wtf is wrong with you people?! D:

17. How often do you go to the cinema (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
I'd go more if I had the money :(

18. What’s the last film you saw in the cinema?
Coraline. Twas awesome

19. What’s your favourite/preferred genre of film?
I like psychological stuffs, things that are twisty. I also like horrors that actually scare me (even if they are crappy and tacky they're fun to watch). Action/adventure is cool too. I would love to say comedy but 'comedy' at the moment seems to be 'lol fart jokes and boobs'.... or thats just American films in general...

20. What’s the first film you remember seeing in the cinema?
I don't think there was a cinema where I lived in Yorkshire :S So ummm... yeah no idea. NO WAIT! I remember seeing Mulan at the cinema, don't know if it was the first time but it's the first I remember.

21. What film do you wish you had never seen?
Don't Look Now. It was shit, I thought it was meant to be awesome.

22. What is the weirdest film you enjoyed?
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (soundtrack is awesome too)

23. What is the scariest film you’ve seen?
I'm more scared of games like Half Life and DOOM than any movies.

24. What is the funniest film you’ve seen?
Zoolander, it's just so epic.

> Screw growing my hair out, I'm far too impatient (and I swear it hasn't grown at all for like 2 months). I'm going to get it cut really short again.

> Listen to more metal and go to some gigs where there are circle and mosh pits. (I blame Disturbed for this whole decision I'm making).

When I started Sixth Form I had an image change and I felt soooo much better and recently I've been feeling rather meh. I've started drifting into normality again and I don't like it because it makes me suppress all my inner craziness and then I have this horrible tension inside me that slowly builds up. Or maybe I'm crap at being in a relationship for more than a year? Whatever it is, I need a change soooooo (not in this order):
